Among the three platinum awards given to HCPI is its project entitled Teen Smart with Honda Sensing Demonstration for Students. The goal of this project is to promote road safety through interactive learning sessions for college students. HCPI recently partnered with AIESEC Philippines, an international organization of student youth leaders, for its Teen Smart CSR project.

The training program included in the project is a classroom discussion on safe driving behavior. This is further reinforced with a guided experiential drive of Honda Sensing-equipped models such as the all-new BR-V, Civic, and HR-V.

The Teen Smart project is part of Honda’s global target of zero traffic collision fatalities by 2050. Through the said program, HCPI organizes educational programs on road safety for its different stakeholders such as the youth.

In pursuit of Honda’s global target of zero traffic collision fatalities by 2050, HCPI organizes educational programs on road safety for its different stakeholders such as the youth, through TeenSmart that started in 2004.

Honda Sensing is an advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) that features safety technologies such as adaptive cruise control, lane keeping and lane departure warning, and collision mitigation braking system, among others.

The second platinum award that HCPI got is for its Bantay Baterya and Bantay Langis project. This involves recycling used lead-acid batteries and industrial oil, which intends to reduce resource consumption and pollution through the proper disposal of hazardous lead-acid batteries and used oils.

Back in 2006, HCPI inked a partnership with ABS-CBN Lingkod Kapamilya Foundation and Oriental - Motolite Marketing Corporation to practice the proper disposal of hazardous lead-acid batteries and used oils.

Honda Cars Philippines shared that approximately 110,000 kg of used lead acid batteries and 10,000 liters of used oils have been collected and recycled since the program started. The funds generated from the recycling effort are used to support various environmental projects of Bantay Kalikasan such as the protection and preservation of La Mesa Watershed and the maintenance of La Mesa Eco Park.

The third platinum award that HCPI got is for its Innovation Contest for Senior High School Students in the Philippines. HCPI partnered with the Department of Science and Technology - Science Education Institute (DOST-SEI) in an innovation competition for young Filipinos in Senior High School.
