As announced by GAC Philippines, it will be launching the all-new GN6 MPV. It’s the marque’s second MPV model, and it sits below the GM8 in size.
In the past few days, details regarding the GN6 were pretty slim. As we draw near to its February 26 launch date, however, more and more information has been trickling out. For that matter, Autoindustriya has gotten their hands on more details regarding the said model, specifically its trim levels, its available powertrains, as well as features. Let’s go over those, shall we?
The GAC GN6 MPV
Under the hood, the GN6 MPV will come standard with a turbocharged 1.5-liter inline-4 engine, which is paired with a six-speed automatic gearbox. At the most, the said engine can make up to 168 horsepower and 265 Nm of torque.
Moving over the variants, the GN6 will only come in two trims. There’s the GB and the top-spec GE. Both can comfortably seat up to seven people, and both are equipped with an eight-inch touchscreen and a seven-inch LCD gauge cluster. Only the top-spec variant gets a sunroof.

For safety, both variants come with anti-lock braking with electronic brake-force distribution, stability control, traction control, as well as hill descent and hill start control. According to the source, only the top-spec variant is getting a rear parking camera, and side airbags. Both, however, get parking sensors and dual front airbags.
Looks-wise, the GN6 sports an understated, but very modern design. Both variants feature a set of 16-inch wheels, LED taillights, and power-folding side mirrors.
For pricing, it was also revealed that the GAC GN6 GB might have a starting price of Php 1,470,000. This positions it as a competitor of the Maxus G50, Geely Okavango, Toyota Innova, among others.
