The EDSA Kamuning Flyover Southbound will be completed ahead of schedule

For a short recap, the flyover was closed to repair cracks and potholes that pose safety issues. The MMDA advised motorists to take alternate routes as the repair works were initially slated to be completed in the last week of July. That said, the agency managed to open the road ahead of schedule.

To combat the slow-moving traffic in the area, the MMDA deployed more enforcers at the flyover. An additional 100 enforces came to manage traffic on EDSA. They were also assisted by the PNP Highway Patrol Group (PNP-HPG) and the local government of Quezon City.

Upon reopening the EDSA Kamuning flyover SB, it should significantly reduce traffic in the area, especially considering that around 140,000 vehicles typically use the flyover daily. As of this writing, the DPWH is finishing the repair works by reinforcing the approach on the down rack on the two lanes by the Nepa Q.
