The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Region III said that the newly opened interchange is expected to alleviate traffic along the Bocaue section of the McArthur Highway. The Ciudad de Victoria Interchange is an alternate road to Governor F. Halili Road or Bocaue-San Jose Road in Sta. Maria, which is known for traffic buildup.

The DPWH also said that the interchange will be able to reduce travel time between Bocaue and Sta. Maria, Bulacan from 45 minutes to 10 minutes. On the other hand, DPWH Secretary Mark Villar stated on his Facebook page that the Ciudad de Victoria Interchange will cut down travel time from Manila to Bulacan by at least one hour.

Villar added that the new interchange in Bocaue, Bulacan will give more options to motorists going to the Philippine Arena, North Luzon Expressway (NLEX), or the neighboring town of Sta. Maria. Villar also shared that the Ciudad de Victoria Interchange will also improve the accessibility of the towns of Sta. Maria, Marilao, and Bocaue in Bulacan.

“The completion of the Ciudad de Victoria Interchange Overpass and Bypass Road project creates a positive impact not only in improving mobility, but also in enhancing accessibility in the towns of Sta. Maria, Marilao, and Bocaue in Bulacan – bolstering economic activities provincewide,” Villar said.

DPWH Region III Director Roseller Tolentino echoed a similar tone in regards to the new interchange. Tolentino said that the Ciudad de Victoria Interchange is expected to “create a positive socio-economic impact in Bulacan due to the huge improvement in mobility and productivity bolstering further economic activities throughout Bulacan.”
