Changan Motor Philippines, Inc. (CMPI) is welcoming the summer season with its ‘Ready, Set, Summer’ promo. It provides cash discounts and easy financing packages on its car lineup including the Changan Alsvin.

Until the end of March 2022, the Changan Alsvin is available with a cash discount of Php 90,000 for its base 1.4L 5MT variant. This means that customers can take home the said model for Php 539,000 only. Another option is the CMPI’s easy financing package which consists of a zero down payment with net monthly amortization of Php 12,869.

The base variant of the subcompact sedan offers affordability and features that make it a good daily driver. A 7-inch touchscreen comes standard, enabling Bluetooth and USB connectivity. It also supports a reverse camera which can be handy especially when parking in tight spots in the city.

Safety-wise, occupants can benefit from dual front airbags, Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), and Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS).

Powering the Alsvin is a 1.4-liter naturally aspirated engine capable of generating 99 horsepower and 135 Nm of torque. As the variant name suggests, the engine is connected to a 5-speed manual transmission. It sends power to the front wheels which are 14-inch alloys.

Other features Filipino car buyers can get from the 1.4L 5MT variant are projector halogen headlamps with up and down adjustment, fabric seats, multi-functional steering wheel, and electronic adjust side mirrors. All these should be sufficient for drivers who simply want mobility for weekday work and weekend getaways.

But for those who are looking more out of the model, the ‘Ready, Set, Summer’ promo offers the top-spec Platinum variant with a Php 105,000 cash discount, bringing the price down to Php 643,000. It adds variant-exclusive features such as cruise control, 15-inch alloy wheels, LED daytime running lights (DRLs), leather seats, a 4-speaker system, and a power sunroof.

Changan Philippines re-entered the Philippine market with five car models. Among the cars launched by Changan is the Alsvin, a five-seater subcompact sedan that goes up against the likes of the Kia Soluto, Toyota Vios, among others. 

The Alsvin is available in three variants with a choice of a five-speed manual or a five-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. Changan Alsvin Exterior

The exterior of the Changan Alsvin has a simple yet distinctive exterior design. All variants of the Alsvin are fitted with sweptback projector halogen headlights. The top-spec Alsvin Platinum variant, on the other hand, comes with LED daytime running lights along with a chrome grille.

Turning at the side, all Alsvin variants feature side mirror repeaters. It also has decent-looking wheels that can either come in a set of 15-inch or 14-inch alloys, depending on the variant. The Alsvin’s rear is fitted with large taillights, a wide bumper, and a shark fin antenna that comes as standard.

The Changan Alsvin features a dark interior theme along with splashes of silver trims. The aircon vents come with a round design on the corners while a horizontal layout can be seen at the one fitted on the middle of the dashboard. The Alsvin subcompact sedan also has a flat-bottomed steering wheel with integrated controls.  

The two lower variants of the Alsvin have fabric seats while the top-spec Platinum trim comes in leather. The driver’s seat also varies depending on the specific Alsvin variant. The lower trims get a 4-way manual adjustment while the top trim has a 6-way manual adjustment. The Alsvin Philippines can accommodate up to five occupants.

When it comes to tech features, the Changan Alsvin 2025 is integrated with several notable toys. Coming as standard on all variants are the following: power door locks, power side mirror adjustment, a 7-inch touchscreen with Bluetooth and USB connectivity, and a multifunction steering wheel, among others. The top-spec Alsvin Platinum exclusively gets a power sunroof and a cruise control feature.     

Safety-wise the Alsvin is equipped with dual front airbags, an anti-lock braking system, electronic brakeforce distribution, a reverse camera, and a tire pressure monitoring system. Depending on the variant, the Alsvin can also come with the following: electronic stability control, hill hold control, blind-spot monitor, and rear parking sensors.

The new Changan Alsvin 2025 comes with a McPherson front suspension while torsion beams are fitted on the rear. In terms of braking power, the Alsvin has ventilated disc brakes on the front while the rear gets drum brakes.

The Changan Alsvin subcompact sedan is powered either by a 1.4-liter or a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated gasoline engine. The 1.4-liter power unit generates 99 hp and 135 Nm of torque while the 1.5-liter motor produces 106 hp and 145 Nm of torque. The engine can be mated to a 5-speed DCT or a 5-speed manual transmission.
