BMW offers new color option for i8 special edition

The i8 Protonic Frozen Yellow - a limited run of BMW will go on sale in September 2017.
After the launches of Frozen Grey, Java Green, Solar Orange, Twilight Purple Pearl and Speed Yellow color versions, the German automaker introduces one more special color of the i8 named Protonic Frozen Yellow.

The i8 Protonic Frozen Yellow is a limited run of BMW. 

 
The i8 Protonic Frozen Yellow remains the exterior design like other previous i8 editions, but it owns a striking yellow paint along with grey grille and rear bumper. Besides, this special edition will wear 20-inch BMW i light alloys in W-Spoke design with mixed-size tires.

Concerning the interior, the yellow color appears in some highlights such as stitching of the seat surfaces, the centre console and the floor mats. Also, we can find more of the yellow stitching on the side panel trim, door cards and on the lower section of the instrument panel.  

The remainder including the headliner, seat belts, ceramic applications for the selector lever and iDrive Controller are painted grey. Particularly, the door sill strips is inscribed with the special text of limited edition.

BMW i8 Protonic Frozen Yellow uses a 1.5 litre three-cylinder turbo engine.
 
BMW i8 Protonic Frozen Yellow uses a 1.5 litre three-cylinder turbo engine which delivers 231 hp, matted with a 131 hp electric motor. All in all, the system provides a 362 hp and 570 Nm of torque. This can make the car accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 4.4 seconds.

According to car news from the manufacturer, the BMW i8 Protonic Frozen Yellow will be available in September this year. Although the price has not been revealed, its original version costs $143,400.
