Under the hood, the hybrid now gets a combo of a 30 kW electric engine and a 2.0L powertrain used in local 2WD Nissan X-Trail. The gas mill is capable of cranking out 139hp while that figure of the electric motor is 39 hp. When being combined, the two engines can produce 174 hp. The engines still work in a conjunction with the Xtronic CVT of Nissan.
All versions are offered both all-wheel-drive (AWD) and front-wheel-drive (FWD) system. According to the US Environmental Protection Agency, the all-new Nissan X-Trail 2018 hybrid with AWD can run up to 14 km/l in combined driving conditions.
