As a family vehicle, this is noteworthy.

The introduction of the all-new Toyota Veloz may have been highlighted by its new styling and features, but its improved safety shouldn’t be missed out on. This is backed by the ASEAN NCAP (New Car Assessment Program for Southeast Asian Countries) as it awarded the new Japanese MPV with a 5-star safety rating.

Under the ASEAN NCAP crash test, the Toyota Veloz, which is the Avanza’s more premium model, took a beating to showcase its safety. It scored a total of 79.99 points out of a total of 100 under the new and stricter 2021-2025 protocol. Here is the list of safety categories including the MPV’s scores:

According to ASEAN NCAP Secretary-General and Acting Chairman Dr. Khairil Anwar Abu Kassim, the MPV is one of the choice means of transport for families in the ASEAN region. To this end, the Toyota Veloz is noteworthy since it has proven itself to be capable of protecting “not only its occupants, but also other vulnerable road users.”
