The Toyota Veloz 2024 is a seven-seater MPV that uses a front-wheel-drive, front-engine layout. It uses the same platform as the 2024 Toyota Avanza though Toyota has designated it as its own standalone model.
Size-wise, the Veloz is 4,475mm long, 1,775mm wide, and 1,700mm in height. It has a wheelbase length of 2,750mm and a ground clearance of 190mm.
Under the hood of the Veloz is a 1.5-liter inline-4 gasoline engine. It can make up to 105 horsepower and 138 Nm of torque, and it is paired to a continuously variable transmission (CVT) sending power to its front wheels.
Locally, the 2024 Toyota Veloz is set to compete against the Suzuki XL7, Mitsubishi Xpander Cross, Geely Okavango, and the Honda BR-V.

The all-new 2024 Toyota Veloz was officially launched by Toyota Motor Philippines on April 29, 2022.
It is set to compete against the Suzuki XL7, Honda BR-V, Geely Okavango, and the Mitsubishi Xpander Cross.
Its entry-level variant, the Veloz G CVT, then starts at ₱1,210,000. The top-spec Veloz V CVT can be had for ₱1,250,000, while the entry-level Veloz E is priced at ₱1,092,000.
On the outside, the Veloz is an adventurous-looking MPV. Think of it along the lines of other SUV-like MPVs in the local market.
The front end gets a large honeycomb pattern grille, trim pieces for its LED headlamps and fog lamps, as well as a front air dam.
From the sides, one can see that it sits on a set of 17-inch alloy wheels. Also, a chrome-colored trim piece spans the entire length of the vehicle.
The rear then features a pair of LED taillights, as well as a rear air dam. Up top, this model also comes with roof rails, and a shark-fin antenna.
Inside, the Veloz can comfortably seat up to seven occupants. It also gets the same Long Sofa mode seat configuration that is present on the Toyota Avanza.
Other features found inside this model include a push-to-start button, a leather-wrapped multi-function steering wheel with tilt and telescopic adjustment, a digital gauge cluster, an automatic climate control system, as well as seats that are clad with a combination of fabric and leather.
The interior itself uses a two-tone, white and black color scheme. It also has plenty of metallic trim pieces, as well as soft-touch surfaces.
For safety, the Veloz gets a total of six airbags, anti-lock braking with electronic brakeforce distribution, ISOFIX child seat anchors, stability control, rear parking sensors, hill-start assist, as well as a 360-degree view camera.
Those are then supported by the Toyota Safety Sense driver assist suite. This includes features like a pre-collision system, blind-spot monitoring, lane-departure assist, and front departure alert, among others.
The all-new 2024 Toyota Veloz uses the Daihatsu new Global Architecture platform. It shares this with the Avanza, as well as the all-new Raize.
For suspensions, it gets a MacPherson strut type for the front, and a torsion beam type for the rear.
Braking is then handled by disc brakes for all four wheels, as well as an electronic parking brake.
The Veloz uses a 1.5-liter inline-4 gasoline engine paired with a CVT sending power to its front wheels. This engine is then good for 105 horsepower and 138 Nm of torque.
The 2024 Toyota Veloz has four available color options. There’s Platinum White Pearl Mica, Purplish Silver Mica Metallic, Dark Red Mica Metallic, and Black Metallic.
Compared to its competitors, the 2024 Toyota Veloz sits just about average when it comes to making horsepower and torque. The same goes when talking about interior space. Then again, the key strength of the Veloz is that its top-spec V variant already comes with the Toyota Safety Sense driver assist kit. And yes, most of its competitors lack an equivalent driver assist suite.
