It comes out looking bolder and tougher.

Ford confirmed that the all-new Everest will make its global debut in the first quarter of 2022. However, no information or specifications have been disclosed just yet as of this writing. The Blue Oval company only gave us a teaser where the midsize SUV is seen roaming around under camouflage.

For Russian auto publication Kolesa, the teaser was enough for it to give the all-new model a render. Kolesa took into consideration the boxier body and unclothed features to deliver us something to look forward to in the final production.

Considering that the Everest SUV is based on the Ford Ranger, it adopted the all-new Ranger's headlights with C-clamp daytime running lights (DRLs). Even the grille, fog light housing, and front chrome skid plate all look similar to the ones in its pickup counterpart. Added are the blacked-out wheel fenders for that more rugged finish.

These features help underline the vehicle’s large proportions, which are ideal to match its boxier-looking body. The usual chrome bits were integrated into the render except for the rear end. At the back, the new SUV got redesigned taillights connected by black full-width trim and a blacked-out rear skid plate.

No interior renders have been rolled out by Kolesa. But looking at the all-new Ranger, the upcoming Everest is expected to offer a choice of either a 10.1-inch or 12-inch vertical touchscreen in the center console. This system should come with the latest Ford SYNC4 which features voice-activated functions.

The expected powertrain options for the midsize SUV should include single and bi-turbo 2.0-liter diesel engines, a 2.3-liter EcoBoost gasoline engine, and a 3.0-liter turbodiesel V6 engine. A 6-speed manual and updated 10-speed automatic gearbox are the expected transmission options.

As said earlier, the upcoming 2022 Ford Everest should be out early next year. By then, we can how see close Kolesa’s render is. Meanwhile, Ford Philippines already added the all-new Everest to the ‘Coming Soon’ section on its official website, confirming the SUV’s arrival on our shores.
