2018 Subaru BRZ tS special edition unveiled in the US

The American spec 2018 Subaru BRZ tS has been revealed with many interesting updates.

Subaru fans have been waiting for a stronger BRZ. However, it was with some surprise that Subaru will not enhance the car performance. Instead, the Japanese brand has decided to improve aerodynamics and aesthetics of the car. “tS” stands for “Tuned by STI” which implies that the BRZ tS will surely possess impressive features.

First, STI-tuned Sachs dampers and coil springs as well as flexible V-braces in the engine bay are upgraded. Besides, the BRZ tS now rides on lightweight 18-inch STI alloy wheels with 215/40 Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tires. Specially, a set of six-piston Brembo brakes with cross-drilled rotors are also installed at all four wheels to make sure that stopping power will always be there. It is expected that all these updates will bring better driving experience to users.

According to the manufacturer, the 2018 Subaru BRZ tS will also be fitted with a manually-adjustable rear spoiler made from carbon fiber. Other new elements on the exterior includes a red accents for the grille and the rear bumper, STI fog light covers, a black finish for the side mirror caps and shark fin antenna together with tS badging.

Inside is decorated with black leather, red front seat belts, and Alcantara upholstery with contrasting red stitching in addition to some accents throughout the interior such as steering wheel, knee pads, door and dash panels, shifter and emergency brake boots.

As mentioned above, there is no extra power for this coupe for sale. Thus, it will still use the standard 2.0-liter flat-4 engine churnings out 205 horsepower and 156 Nm of torque.

2018 Subaru BRZ tS preview

The 2018 Subaru BRZ tS will be on sale in Q1 2018, but Subaru hasn’t revealed the pricing for this car, but you can check out the Subaru BRZ 2018 for sale on Philkotse. The company hinted that the BRZ tS will be available in WR Blue Pearl, Crystal Black Silica and Crystal White Pearl. Particularly, the vehicle is limited to just 500 examples.
