Key changes of the next-gen Toyota Corolla 2019 lie mostly on the B-pillars.

According to Auto Esporte, the 12th-gen Toyota Corolla sedan has finally been announced to make its debut late this year, following the launch of its hatchback counterpart last March. While the front fascia look identical to that of the Touring Sports and hatchback versions, most of the key changes are given to the B-pillars.

The European-market Corolla hatchback’s turbocharing engine will not be equipped in the sedan model. Instead, it will be driven by a new-gen naturally aspirated 2.0 litre powerplant, generating 168 hp and 205 Nm of torque, connected to a CVT transmission.

The Toyota Corolla sedan is said to ride on the TNGA platform and inherit the dashboard design and same levels of interior equipment as found in the Corolla hatchback.
