Here in the Philippines, Honda has become quite the presence when it comes to compact sedans, crossovers, and hatchbacks. This is because they have given Filipinos practical vehicles that perform admirably as a reliable daily driver and are fun to drive at the same time.
Honda Philippines has been responsible for market favorites such as the Civic, City, Accord, Jazz and CR-V, as well as the more recent Brio, Mobilio and BR-V models. They also provide one of the most sought-after high-performance vehicles in the market right now, the Honda Civic Type-R.
As with any other sizeable car manufacturer, Honda commands a large chunk of the 2nd-hand car market; this especially holds true with the Civic, as it has become a darling of tuners and amateur racers here in the country. Honda cars generally hold their value well over the years, even the aging Civic SiR from almost a decade ago has not depreciate that much due to popular market demand.

The Honda Odyssey is a minivan that can fit up to 7 adults. It has been manufactured by Honda since 1994. In its present iteration, the Odyssey is a modern-looking, some even say sporty minivan which is equipped with the K24W inline-4 VTEC engine. This gives the Odyssey sufficient power relative to its size. It also has loads of safety features, making it perfect for families. As for rivals, the Odyssey faces off against the Hyundai Grand Starex and the Toyota Hiace. |

While not as spacious as the Odyssey, the BR-V can still fit seven passengers, albeit a little cramped on some spots. Regardless, this crossover comes with a 1.5 liter inline-4 that performs well and delivers one of the best fuel economy figures in its class. The BR-V is ideal for families living in the city. Competitors for the Honda BR-V include the Hyundai Tucson and the Toyota RAV4. |
Honda, with its significant presence on the Philippine automotive market, actually has a surplus of supplies, especially with the Honda Civic and the City. As such, pre-owned examples of such vehicles tend to be very affordable.
With regards to the Civic, it’s obvious that Filipinos love the car due to its fun driving dynamics and an architecture that’s easy to fix and modify, giving rise to large circle of tuner fans in the country. The ubiquity of the Civic on our roads also translates to an abundance of spare parts and after-market performance components available.
Honda also offers good after-sales service. Regardless of whether you drive a brand-new or second-hand Honda car, their dealerships are ready to address your maintenance needs. Depending on your preference, they even offer an SMS-based service that sends you a reminder of your next service appointment via text.
Have you decided on a specific option? If yes, simply head to the nearest used cars dealerships or simply check out our Cars For Sale section. Who knows, your next Honda might be just a few clicks away!
