Suzuki to prepare for the launch of new Ignis in Indonesia

Suzuki Ignis is going to be introduced at the end of March or in early April at the price ranging from 139.5 to 169.5 million Rupiah which are equivalent to ₱ 524,781 and ₱ 637,637.
On 13th March, AutonetMagz, an Indonesian auto website posted pictures of a large number of the Suzuki Ignis in a delivery truck. This has spread a rumor that the company is ready to launch the Ignis in the Southeast Asia soon.

This new hatchback is uconsidered as the leading export model of Maruti Suzuki India Limited. It is manufactured in India and is firstly exported to Indonesia.

In Indonesia, the Suzuki Ignis is believed to be available in 3 versions: GL, GLX and GLX AT with the equivalent price respectively: 139.5 million (₱ 524,781), 159.5 million (₱ 600,019) and 169.5 million Rupiah (₱ 637,637).

In GL and GLX variants, the Suzuki Ignis uses the 5-speed manual transmission



The Suzuki Ignis is powered by a 1.2-litre 4-cyl K-Series engine with power output of 83 PS and 113Nm of torque.
In GL and GLX variants, the Suzuki Ignis uses the 5-speed manual transmission which offers fuel efficiency of 20.89 kmpl (4.78l/100km) while the GLX AT comes with a 5 speed Auto Gear Shift AMT.

About wise features, the premium Ignis version will be furnished with LED projector headlights integrated with DRLs (Daytime Running Lights) and chrome plated fog lamps. Besides, this model also gets the steering -mounted audio remote control, automatic AC along with the infotainment system with navigation, voice recognition, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
The Suzuki Ignis will directly compete against cars like Honda Brio, Toyota Etios, Nissan March and Mitsubishi Mirage. This model has launched in Japanese, European and Indian markets before being introduced in Indonesia.
Let’s hope that this new Ignis will arrive soon and make the city car segment market become more competitive in the Philippines.
