Heavy traffic expected on several Pasig City roads this Friday

A parade will be held in celebration of the 449th Pasig Day.  

This coming Friday, July 1, 2022, the City of Pasig will be holding a Civic Parade in connection to the ika-449 Araw ng Pasig (449th Pasig Day).

The route of the said parade will begin at the Sta. Clara de Montefalco Church and will end at the Pasig City Quadrangle. It is scheduled to start from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. on the said date.

To facilitate this event, several roads in Pasig city are expected to experience heavy traffic. Here is a list of roads that will be affected:

- Caruncho Avenue (Both directions) 

- M.H. Del Pilar Street (Brgy. San Nicolas) 

- Dr. Sixto Antonio Avenue (Brgy. Kapasigan) 

- Rotonda Junction 

- A. Mabini Street (Brgy. Kapasigan) 

- Plaza Rizal Intersection 

- C. Raymundo Ave. (Both directions, from Mercedes Ave., to Stella Maris Street) 

- Mercedes Ave. (Both directions, from Market Ave., to C. Raymundo). 

If you still need to pass through the areas where the said roads are, then be aware that the City of Pasig did provide alternate routes that motorists can use during the span of the event. 

1. For vehicles heading to Rotonda from the Pasig Mega Market, they can take Market Ave., then make a left to Legaspi St. Then make a left to C. Raymundo Ave., right to Stella Maris St., then make a left to Dr. Sixto Ave., to destination. 

2. For vehicles going to San Joaquin/Bagumbayan from Pasig Mega Market, pass through Balderama St., make a right to F. Antonio St., then straight to G. Rayumdo. Then make a right to R. Jabson, left to P. Burgos, take a left to Lopez Jaena St., then another left to Dr. Garcia St. After that, take a right to R. Jabson to cross Bambang bridge to your destination. 

3. Vehicles that are heading to the Pasig Mega Market from Bagumbayan/San Joaquin may take Elisco Rd., then left to M. Jimenez to cross Kalawaan Bridge. After that, make a left to F. Antonio St., make a right to F. Manalo, then right to Caruncho St., to your destination. 

4. Vehicles heading to Crossing/Quiapo from Bagumbayan/San Joaquin, they make take M. Concepcion St. then keep straight to San Guillermo. Then take a right to C-5 to the destination. 

5. Vehicles enroute to Pasig Mega Market from Rotunda may take the C-5 road before making a left to M. Flores, then a right to Pvt. Aurellana St. Then make a left to Intalan St. to cross Sta. Rosa Bridge. Head straight to Dr. Garcia St., before making a left to R. Jabson. Then make a right to G. Raymundo, left to F. Manalo, then right to Caruncho Ave. to your destination.

6. Vehicles going to Pasig Mega Market from C. Raymundo Ave. take F. Legaspi before making a right to Market Ave. to destination. 

7. Those heading to Ortigas Ave. from Rotonda (Via C. Raymundo) can take Dr. Sixto Antonio Ave. to their destination. 

8. Vehicles heading to Rotonda/C-5 from C. Raymundo Ave. can take Stella Maris St., then left to Dr. Sixto Antonion Ave., to destination. 

9. VEhicles heading to Pasig Mega Market from Ortigas Ave. can pass through F. Legaspi, right to Market Ave., to destination. 

10. Vehicles enroute to C. Raymundo Avenue from C-5 may take Eagle St., then Dr. Sixto Ave. to destination.
