Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) has been the leading car company in the country for the longest time. So much so that the TMP recently celebrated its 21st consecutive Triple Crown feat at this year’s Dealer Conference.
Toyota achieved its 21st Triple Crown in the Philippines
The Triple Crown is a prestigious award given to a car company that tops sales in three categories: passenger vehicles, commercial vehicles, and overall sales.
Leading the overall car industry sales is the Toyota Vios, which managed to sell 34,465 units in 2022. It is a subcompact sedan that has been besting the sales ranking year after year thanks to its acclaimed reliability and numerous variants that cater to various demands in the local market.
Other Toyota models also managed to top their respective segments. These include the Wigo, Corolla Altis, Camry, Raize, Innova, Rush, Hilux, Land Cruiser, Hiace, Fortuner, and Corolla Cross.

The impressive sales performance doesn’t end there as TMP also recorded a historic 50 percent automotive industry market share. It is a first for the company since its operations started more than three decades ago.
During the Dealer Conference, TMP also awarded the top-performing dealers and dealer team members last year. Here is the list of awardees:

For the local market, Toyota Philippines offers 22 car models. The most affordable of these is the Toyota Wigo hatchback. Toyota also has three sedan models namely the Vios, the Corolla Altis, and the Camry. It then has one entry to the pickup truck segment, the Hilux.
