Taguig City to implement new traffic scheme along Cayetano Boulevard

The city of Taguig announced a new and experimental traffic scheme it will implement along the Cayetano Boulevard.

Starting March 1, 2023, a “No Left Turn, Right Turn Only” traffic scheme will be implemented to prevent accidents and improve traffic in the area. This means that the Acacia Estates and Grace Residences/Mall intersections along Cayetano Blvd. will be closed to those wishing to turn left.

If you ply the said road regularly, you might want to check out the following routes listed below:

From Acacia Estates going to C-5

·         Turn right on Cayetano Blvd.

·         Take the u-turn slot at Medical Center Taguig (MCT)

From Vista Mall Taguig and Taguig City Hall going to Acacia Estates

·         Take the u-turn slots at Vista Place or at C-5 Service Road

From C-5 going to Grace Residences/Mall

·         Take the u-turn slot at Medical Center Taguig (MCT)

Note: No left turn from Cayetano Blvd. to Grace Mall; No left turn from Cayetano Blvd. to Starbucks

From Grace Residences/Mall going to Vista Mall

·         Take the u-turn slot at C-5 Service Road

With the new traffic scheme, traffic flow is expected to be smoother as motorists won’t be allowed to take a left turn along Cayetano Blvd., preventing vehicles from piling up at the two intersections. The only drawback for some motorists is that they have to go a long way to a U-turn.

Traffic advisory

Again, the new traffic is experimental. So the city of Taguig is encouraging everyone to give their feedback and recommendations through a Google form link available on its Facebook page, I Love Taguig. It is a very short form that can help the city improve traffic in the area.

The city of Taguig said that it will evaluate the traffic scheme on March 31, 2023.
