Already sold in Japan with petrol variants, Suzuki Jimny 2019 might not get a diesel engine.

Unlike Japanese market which hardly asks for diesel versions, international markets including the Philippines are longing for this type of engine. However, according to the latest car news, Suzuki Jimny 2019 will launch its sale there later this year but highly likely in petrol engine form only.

This is due to the downward trend of the demand for diesel engine on the global scale. In fact, this company has ceased to sell their diesel vehicles in the United Kingdoms. For such markets as India, products equipped with 1.3L DDiS diesel engine might be delayed till 2020 at the latest.

For now, most models in foreign markets will use 1.5L K15B engine running on petrol. It can produce the top speed of 102 PS @ 6,000 rpm and max torque of 130 Nm @ 4,000 rpm. Also, this next-gen can be mated with both 5-speed manual transmission and 4-speed automatic gearbox.
