A few months after being introduced to Indian market, the 2nd-gen Suzuki Celerio 2018 has finally been announced to get its mid-cycle refreshment. This refreshment has brought the A-segment vehicle a fresh new look, nicely revised interior and a number of new safety features. Worth mentioning is that the facelifted version is still said to come with an affordable price range.

The 2nd-gen Celerio has received its mid-cycle update in India
Let’s start with the significant changes from the inside first. While the cabin of the pre-facelift version is designed in black and grey, the updated Celerio’s interior now comes adorned with a black and ‘greige’ color theme which is nicely blended between beige and grey colors.
The heavily revised cabin has given the hot hatch a far more premium look and feel
Other interior refinements include fabric seats with new abstract pattern designs and new silver trim accents throughout the cabin. All these refreshments together have given the hot hatch a far more premium look and feel, particularly when compared to the pre-facelift Suzuki Celerio.

The exterior updates are quite subtle compared to interior revision
While the interior updates are definitely major, the exterior revisions seem quite subtle, which mainly focuses on the front fascia. The most noticeable change lies in the new aggressive mesh grille highlighted by a chrome garnish. The restyled front fascia also includes new lower air intake, head lamps, fog lamp benzels and front bumper. Also given mild updates are the redesigned back bumper and a new tailgate garnish.
Changes at the rear include new back bumper and tailgate garnish
Speaking of safety features, the facelifted Suzuki Celerio 2018 comes loaded with:
- Anti-lock brakes;
- Seatbelt reminder;
- Front and side airbags;
- Side impact beams.
Similarly to the previous version, driven the new Celerio is still the 1.0-liter K10B three-cylinder engine which is capable of producing 67 PS at 6000 rpm and 90 Nm of torque at 3500 rpm, mated to either a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed automated manual transmission.
According to latest car news, Suzuki has yet to confirm if the facelifted Celerio 2018 is also available elsewhere other than Indian market. As a result, it still remains unclear if the Celerio in Thailand, where our PH-market Celerio is sourced from, will also get updated.
