SsangYong Philippines will soon introduce its SsangYong Musso 2018

Musso in Korean is an equivalent of 'rhinoceros'. Its name may have given you some clues of its look. In fact, it bears a strong resemblance to the Rexton SUV. It rides on a completely new body-on-frame architecture made of high-tensile and high-density strength steel. The Musso 2018 also earns a tough-duty frame design that works to ease the heaviest shocks caused by speed bumps or road surfaces. To provide occupants with smooth rides, the model is equipped with a 5-link rear coil spring suspension.

Getting power from an e-XDi220 2.2L diesel engine which is channeled to a six-speed automatic transmission, the SsangYong Musso 2018 is good for 400 Nm of torque and 181 HP while capable of reaching 195 kph. Its fuel economy is estimated at 14.28 kpl. The model also offers 4WD as well as a rear locking differential.

SsangYong Philippines still keeps it closed about the Musso’s final specs but we can take other markets for reference where the top-end variants hold a ton of convenience and luxury features; to name some: a 360-degree camera, leather seating, and passive keyless entry system. Speaking of safety features, it gives the driver and passengers a great sense of security with the tire pressure monitoring system, lane departure assist, blind spot, detection, rear and front parking sensors, stability control, and 6 airbags as well.

Furthermore, the SsangYong Musso 2018 is a safe bet for customers with the company’s habit of giving its models an all-inclusive three-year/ 60,000km PMS and five-year/100,000km warranty.

Though without an exact date of its launch, we know we can totally rely on SsangYong Philippines’s saying that it will soon come out. It’s a high chance the Philippine International Motor Show in October will be a proper occasion for the SsangYong Musso 2018 to show its face.
