Omoda and Jaecoo Motor Philippines has appointed Jeff Liu as its new president, and Abner Berdos as its new vice president.

Of note, Jeff Liu is also the General Manager of Eastern Europe and Asia Pacific. So, even before his new post, Liu was instrumental in the early stages of bringing the brand into the Philippines.
Specifically, he spearheaded the company’s efforts in securing its current partnerships with banking entities such as BDO Unibank. He likewise took charge of Omoda and Jaecoo’s first-ever dealer investment conference, which already managed to draw the interest of 10 dealer groups.
The appointments of Jeff Liu and Abner Berdos to their positions likewise come at a crucial point for the twin brands. Both Omoda and Jaecoo will be making a big splash at the upcoming 2024 Manila International Auto Show (MIAS) by introducing four new models.
Omoda 5 EV
As hinted at for some time now, these are the Omoda 5, Omoda 5 electric vehicle, Jaecoo 7, and the Jaecoo 8.
If one remembers, the first batch of Omoda 5 units is already in the Philippines. These were brought in last year. Upon its launch, the Omoda 5 will be the first in its segment to be available both as an internal combustion model and as an electric vehicle (EV).
Apart from announcing the appointment of its new president and vice president, Omoda and Jaecoo also highlighted the global strength of its manufacturing capabilities. It has eight major branches and five research and development centers around the globe. As a result, the company shares that already achieved an annual manufacturing capacity of 300,000 vehicles and 200,000 auto components worldwide.
