NLEX Corp. expects high traffic volume this holidays

The most wonderful time of the year is approaching fast. But for NLEX Corporation, this means that its operations will become busier as many will go home to their families to celebrate the holidays.

NLEX Corporation will implement its motorist assistance program 

With that being said, the toll road company is gearing up to accommodate the expected increase in traffic volume for the coming Christmas and New Year holidays. From December 20, 2021 to January 3, 2022, operations along NLEX-SCTEX will be bolstered as part of its “Safe Trip Mo Sagot Ko” motorist assistance program.

“As always, we are committed to keep our traffic flowing smoothly so our motorists will get to their destinations quickly, safely, and comfortably,” said NLEX Corporation President and General Manager J. Luigi L. Bautista.

The “Safe Trip Mo Sagot Ko” program is NLEX Corporation’s answer to seasons when traffic is expected to rise such as Undas and Holy Week. As for the upcoming holiday, the toll road company will deploy 1,200 patrol crews, traffic marshals, security teams, and toll lane personnel to ensure a smooth and efficient traffic flow.

The company wants motorists to be safe for the upcoming holidays

Areas such as Balintawak, Bocaue, Karuhatan, San Fernando, San Simon, Tarlac, and Tipo will be closely monitored as a high volume of vehicles is expected. Also, emergency medical services and incident response teams will man the said areas to maintain safety.

As a safety measure, NLEX Corporation will offer free towing to the nearest exit for Class 1 or light vehicles on the following dates:

• From December 24, 6:00 a.m. to December 27, 6:00 a.m.
• From January 1, 6:00 a.m. to January 3, 6:00 a.m.

NLEX Corporation encourages motorists to install an Easytrip RFID tag, especially now that high volume traffic is expected this holiday season. Easytrip installation sites offer RFID stickers for free, and those interested in getting a sticker need only pay for the initial load to get started. This can help reduce travel time and provide convenience on the road.
