It will have three variants that all come with introductory prices. The top-spec variant is the GL, which is priced at Php 1,198,000, the mid-spec GB priced at Php 1,098,000, and the GS which will retail at Php 998,000. Each purchase of the next-gen GAC GS3 Emzoom will then come with a 5-year warranty package.

Note that the crossover previewed by GAC Philippines looks close to the one that was released in China earlier this year. This also lines up with the teaser for the upcoming vehicle released a couple of days ago.

No PH-specs or mechanical details for the vehicle were released by the car brand just yet but it promises a spacious interior, striking aesthetics, and plenty of onboard technologies. Moreover, those looking forward to GAC’s update for its smallest crossover offering can now book reservations at the brand’s official website.

The China-spec GAC GS3

The China-spec GAC GS3

In China, where the next-gen GS3 is now sold, it uses a 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine that can dish out 175 horsepower and 270 Nm of torque. Power is then sent to the front wheels through a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox.

Its interior then comes with a driver-centric cockpit, a flat-bottom steering wheel, an automatic climate control system, and a 32-color ambient lighting system. It likewise features an advanced driver-assistive safety kit (ADAS) dubbed the ADiGO package.

We aren’t sure yet if the Philippine-spec version will also get the same specs as the Chinese version but we’re hoping that it will, especially with regards to its powertrain. Doing so will make it a more potent competitor against other locally available subcompact crossovers such as the Geely Coolray.
