Maxus is bringing the future.

Maxus revealed a multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) concept that will be part of its new modular electric vehicle platform called MIFA (Maxus Intelligent Flexible Architecture). It is designed with unmistakable futuristic details inside and out that are meant to look cool and out of this world.

The boxy shape body of the Maxus MPV concept provides a familiar Maxus look which can be seen from the G50 MPV and D60 midsize SUV. A full-width daytime running light (DRLs) is integrated into the front fascia alongside a grille-less layout to create a futuristic EV appeal.

Going to the rear-end, the wraparound taillights run across the length of the vehicle, completing the DRLs upfront. Maxus added rose gold trims on the lower rear bumper to give the rear end of the MPV concept a less bland look.

The widescreen looks something from the future

Inside, the rose gold trims are integrated into the cabin which gives it a vibrant interior atmosphere. The infotainment screen and instrument gauge cluster have been integrated into one widescreen system. Also adding to the unique cabin of the MIFA concept is the roofless design brought by its wide panoramic sunroof.

This concept looks absolutely superb

As for performance capabilities, Maxus’ concept will be drawing power from electric motors that can generate 671 hp and a whopping 900 Nm of torque. Depending on the battery option, it can run with a range that varies from 600 km up to 800 km. Maxus claims that the MPV can go from zero to 100 km/h in 3.8 seconds.

Striking details in every area of the MPV concept

The Maxus MPV MIFA, however, is still a concept so changes can still be made once the car brand rolled it off for production. Reports state that it will be out for production as early as October this year, while the official sales will begin in the first quarter of 2022. Once it is out in the market, the MPV should further advance the name of the car brand’s MIFA EV platform in the auto industry.

The Maxus D60 price in the Philippines is between Php 1,240,000 and Php 1,338,000. Lowest monthly amortization starts at Php 13,837 over a period of 60 months with a downpayment of 50 percent. Rivals in its segment include the Toyota RAV4, Honda CR-V, Chevrolet Trailblazer, and Geely Azkarra.

Maxus D60 Launch

The Maxus D60 is a vehicle that took design cues from the Tarantula Electric SUV Concept, which SAIC Maxus previewed at the 2018 Beijing Auto Show. The Philippine-spec Maxus D60 is offered with a seven-seater or five-seater configuration. The new Maxus D60 competes with segment rivals such as the Honda CR-V, Chery Tiggo 8, and Geely Okavango, among others.

Maxus D60 Exterior

The exterior of the Maxus D60 is aggressive, bold, and striking. The front end is fitted with a massive grille that’s integrated with chrome trims. One of the things that you’ll also notice on the D60 is its muscular bumper. Turning to the side, the D60’s muscular appeal continues to be seen through its wide wheel arches as well as sharp character lines. On the other hand, the rear comes with sleek design cues as seen on the D60’s taillights and spoiler. Moreover, the D60’s bold look is finished off with a large bumper.

The Maxus D60 2024 is available in six colors: Competitive Orange, Polar Ash, Warm Argent, Warm White, Wace Red, and Metal Black.

Similar to the Honda CR-V, the Maxus D60 2024 comes in either five- or seven-seater variants, offering customers added flexibility when deciding between passenger or cargo space. For safety, the D60 brings the usual complement of features such as front and side airbags, stability control, anti-lock brakes, and electronic parking brakes. However, it does not have driver-assist features unlike the Toyota RAV4, Honda CR-V, Chevrolet Trailblazer, and Geely Azkarra.
