With the inauguration of the new Kia Acropolis, the number of Kia dealerships in the country wearing the brand’s new corporate identity now stands at seven. Filipino-owned corporation Autoklassik Motors Corp. has been tasked to manage the Korean automaker’s newest dealership.

“After 13 years as a Kia dealer, we have witnessed all of Kia’s innovations,” said Kia Acropolis/Autoklassik Motor Corp. Chief Operating Officer (COO) Jan Golangco. “I believe what we are really celebrating is what Kia has become through the years and I am proud to be a Kia dealer – and user – myself.”

The Kia Acropolis branch is built to provide support services, maintenance, and after-sales programs including body repair and painting services. It will also expand the reach of the automaker’s models available in the local lineup.

These models include the Kia Stonic, Picanto, Sorento, Carnival, Soluto, Seltos, Sportage, Forte, Stinger, and Rio 5-door. The company also has an entry into the commercial vehicle (CV) market with the K2500, available in various configurations to cater to different demands for business mobility.

In addition, the Kia EV6 made an appearance at the opening of the new dealership. It is an all-electric compact crossover expected to be launched this year. Among the advantages the EV6 promises include a 528-km electric vehicle (EV) range, a full charging time of 18 minutes using the 350 kW 800V DC charger, and cheaper maintenance costs.

“The industry is back to pre-pandemic levels in terms of overall sales," said Kia Philippines President Manny Aligada. "Everyone was hungry to go back into the business and to ride their new cars, so Kia has been riding that crest. In 2021 Kia grew by 76%. In 2022, we grew by 34%, outpacing the industry’s 26%. We have to thank Autoklassik because it is a huge part of that growth."
