This is the second round of the partnership between the British-bred car brand and the leading e-commerce platform after a successful 11.11 campaign where a lucky winner received an MG 5 MT Core.

The mechanics of the game to win a new MG 5 are simple. To join, participants must tune in to Shopee’s 12.12. Big Christmas Sale TV Special on GMA 7 and Shopee Live on December 12, from 10:30 p.m. to 12:00 midnight. Using the Shopee app, users must start shaking their phones once the Shopee Shake segment starts to earn Shopee coins and a chance to bag the subcompact sedan.

It is the model’s entry-level variant, offering features such as projector headlamps with leveling, power side mirrors, an 8-inch infotainment system with four speakers, a reverse camera, remote keyless entry, and LED daytime running lights (DRLs).
All MG 5 variants are powered by a 1.5-liter inline-4 gasoline engine as standard, capable of 112 hp and 150 Nm of torque. However, only the MG 5 Core MT uses a 5-speed manual transmission which enables drivers to take control of gear shifts, depending on the road condition.
