Department of Transportation (DOTr) Secretary Arthur Tugade led the inauguration of the new Land Transportation Office (LTO) district office in Bacoor, Cavite. The said LTO office aims to provide citizens of Cavite a more convenient, and faster transactions.
LTO Bacoor, Cavite opens
Tugade hopes that the LTO Bacoor will give Caviteños a seamless process of transactions, and efficient delivery of services. The DOTr Secretary also calls for the end of relying on and transacting with fixers as the new LTO Bacoor opens its doors.
“This building is beautiful, accept it. We must consecrate ourselves to good governance,” Tugade said.
Tugade also announced the convergence or the joining of the offices of the LTO and the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) in the same building. This means that individuals can do LTO- and LTFRB-related transactions in the new district office in Bacoor, Cavite. This is to provide the people of Bacoor with a central transport hub that intends to ease of doing business.

“Today I am giving instructions to explore all things possible in converging LTO and LTFRB on this site. Gusto ko itong maging sentro—maging transportation hub. Nariyan ang LTO, nariyan ang LTFRB, nariyan ang mga pangangailangan. Nariyan din ang MVIS [motor vehicle inspection system] pati ang driving school, at One Licensing. Lahat nandiyan,” Secretary Tugade added.
(I want it to be the central transportation hub. There’s the LTO, and there’s the LTFRB. There is also MVIS as well as a driving school, and One Licensing. Everything is there.)
Faster, and more convenient service
The new LTO district office is said to serve the growing number of clients in Bacoor. It is also seen to ease the long queues at other district offices particularly the LTO Cavite, Imus, and Dasmariñas, as well as the Naic Extension office.
The Transport Secretary thanked the LTO, headed by Assistant Secretary Edgar Galvante, as well as the local government unit of Bacoor for making the new district office a reality.
