Kia SP Concept 2019 to be produced in India by 2019

In the Indian market, the Kia SP Concept 2019’s production will start in the 2nd half of 2019.

In March, the Kia SP Concept 2019 was globally launched at 2018 Auto Expo. It is also the first offering of Kia to the Indian market. And last week, the concept was performed in its home market at Busan Motor Show 2018 for the first time.

Initially, the Kia SP Concept was announced to roll out only in the Indian market but now it will also go on sale in South Korea, along with the Stonic. The Korean-spec SP Concept is predicted to be assembled in its local market.

In the Indian market, the SP Concept’s production will start in the 2nd half of next year. The process will be operated at a newly-built plant located in Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh, India. Now, the Korean carmaker is seeking providers for sourcing locally-made parts.

According to the latest car news, after producing the all-new Kia SP Concept 2019, the Korean brand will also debut a sub-4 meter SUV one year later (2020) and possibly a new EV in 2021. Besides, the new Kia Carnival and Kia Sportage are also expected to be premiered in India.
