It’s an all-weather facility that promises fun while exercising safety.

Pandemic lockdowns that have been in place for the last year or so have understandably made many car nuts restless. That shiny machine in your garage isn’t the only thing that’s going to rust (in a manner of speaking) without seeing any action for an extended period of time.

There's a new indoor venue coming for racing enthusiasts

Despite the streets outside being relatively empty, it still doesn’t serve as an excuse for motorists to go wild with the occasional opportunity to drive. EKartRaceway might have the answer for those who need to blow off some steam, as the company announced on its Facebook page that its indoor go-kart track will be opening within the year.

Spectators can watch the action at the lounge area while enjoying refreshments

Located at the third floor of SM North EDSA, the facility is EKartRaceway’s first in the country with a total area of 2,091 square meters, 300 meters of which has been devoted to the actual track. Customers get to test their skills on the course’s various turns, elevations, and straights on Blue Shock Race electric karts. The track is lined with EKartRaceway’s proprietary safety barriers and accident sensors to make sure that both participants and spectators are protected.

Even public health protocols with the current pandemic have been taken into consideration, as customers can register and book their reservations using the remote POS App platform. EKartRaceway says that their track will be the only local entertainment sport venue that naturally promotes social distancing. The indoor nature of the race track is also a plus, which means that both novice and more experienced drivers will be able to have fun behind the wheel, whatever the weather.

The circuit will be equipped with safety barriers and sensors

According to EKartRaceway, construction is currently underway, with a grand opening slated for December 2021. It promises discounts, promotions, and preferential scheduling for customers, especially those coming in groups. Slots are on a first-come, first-served basis, so if you’re looking to indulge in some indoor go-kart racing, EKartRaceway’s course is something to look forward to.
