Hyundai Motor Philippines (HMPH) has revealed that it will be launching the Elantra N sedan at the upcoming 2024 Manila International Motor Show (MIAS).
The Hyundai Elantra N
If you’re a red-blooded car enthusiast, a Hyundai fanboy, or if you just like peppy cars in general, this might be a bombshell of news for you. But for those unaware, the Elantra N is the South Korean car maker’s high-performance version of the seven-generation CN7 Elantra mid-size sedan.
Made under the Hyundai N sub-brand, the Elantra N line has already established its own racing pedigree over the years.
Back in 2021, it saw huge success in the Michelin Pilot Challenge, TCR Europe Touring Car Series, and the TCR South American Touring Car Championship. It likewise won the 2023 edition of the TCR World Tour Driver’s Championship.

Speaking of which, the Elantra N TCR race car will also be displayed at the 2024 MIAS alongside the Elantra N. Specifically, Hyundai’s booth will be located at the D4 section, Main Hall, and the North Wing (front of the main entrance) of the World Trade Center in Pasay from April 4 to 7, 2024.
For now, HMPH is yet to share the exact specs of the Elantra N for the Philippine market, but do note that the global version uses a beefy 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-4 gasoline engine that can dish out 276 horsepower and 392 Nm of torque. Thanks to that, it is capable of going from zero to 100 km/h in just 5.3 seconds (dual-clutch transmission version).

With all that said, it looks like the Philippine market is getting another high-performance five-seater car. Once it officially launches, it’ll compete for the attention of car enthusiasts against the likes of the Subaru WRX and the Honda Civic Type R.
Besides the Elantra N the brand will also be showcased the award-winning Ioniq 5 and Ioniq 6 electric vehicles. The Creta, Custom, all-new Santa Fe, and the Stargazer X will be appearing at the event as well.
