Honda Cars Philippines, Inc. (HCPI) aims to help jump-start your car ownership experience with the rolling out of its “City S Buy Now, Pay Next Year Scheme” promo.

The “City S Buy Now, Pay Next Year Scheme” promo offers a special free two months amortization financing scheme for customers interested in the 2022 Honda City 1.5 S CVT. They may process their bank application and vehicle release until December 31, 2022. Here is the list of financing arrangements under the promo:
- Fixed at 20 percent downpayment with 60 months payment terms
- Free insurance package with RCBC, BDO, Maybank, and China Bank Savings)
Take note that the aforementioned promo is still subject to bank approval. Participating bank partners include BPI, Bank of Commerce, PNB, Robinsons Bank, Security Bank, Eastwest Bank, and Philtrust Bank.

The Honda City S is the subcompact sedan’s base variant. It comes with exterior bits such as 15-inch alloy wheels, halogen projector headlamps, and LED daytime running lights (DRLs). Meanwhile, the interior gets a black interior theme with fabric seats and an 8-inch infotainment touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Powering the vehicle is a standard 1.5-liter inline-4 gasoline engine capable of generating 119 horsepower and 145 Nm of torque. The engine is paired with a continuously variable transmission as standard as the City S with a manual transmission was discontinued earlier this year.
In addition to the “City S Buy Now, Pay Next Year Scheme” promo, the same model is available with a Php 45,000 promo under the “Happy Holidays” promo. This means that customers can drive the sedan home at a discounted price of Php 893,000. To note, the said promo is running until the end of November only.

Also, the “Happy Holidays” promo brings Honda Sensing Insurance Partnership and reservations on the upcoming all-new BR-V. The Honda Sensing Insurance Partnership offers improved preferential rates for comprehensive insurance to those who will purchase a Honda Sensing-equipped model, while the all-new BR-V reservation allows you to be one of the first to own the vehicle. The 2024 Honda City is a subcompact sedan. In the Philippine market, its four variants are City E, City S, City V, and City RS—the prices for these range from Php 973,000 to Php 1,128,000.
Size-wise, the refreshed City for 2024 is 4,580mm long, 1,748mm wide, and 1,467mm in height. The RS trim is a bit longer at 4,589mm. All trims then get a wheelbase length of 2,600mm and a ground clearance of 134mm.
Under its hood is a 1.5-liter inline-4 gasoline engine capable of making up to 119 horsepower and 145 Nm of torque. Power is then sent to its front wheels via a continuously variable transmission (CVT).
Locally, the Honda City competes against the Toyota Vios, Mitsubishi Mirage G4, Mazda3, Nissan Almera, Hyundai Accent, MG 5, etc.
