GAC Motor PH reports huge jump in sales for Q1 2024

GAC Motor Philippines, under the management of Astara, reports that it saw 274 percent growth in retail sales compared to the same period last year. This is equivalent to a total of 774 units sold in Q1 2024 alone.

According to the brand, this growth rate demonstrates that its strong momentum was able to surpass the Philippine car industry’s growth rate. Currently, the latter is pegged at 13 percent according to the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines Inc., (CAMPI). 

The brand says that its success in sales can be linked to the increasing demand for its growing lineup of car models. This includes the Emzoom, Empow, Emkoo, and GS8, which GAC shares have been the most popular in its roster. These are joined by newly launched GAC models like the M8 and the M6 Pro. 

Besides its growing lineup, GAC also says that its expanding network of dealerships likewise contributed to its strong sales momentum. Currently, the brand has 26 outlets nationwide, but this will increase to cover up to 35 locations as the year ends. 

To mark this significant milestone, GAC Motor International honored the Philippines as “The Fastest Growing Market” in the world.

The Emkoo Hybrid will be launched for the local marking this coming June 2024

Of note, GAC Motor PH’s latest upcoming model is the Emkoo Hybrid crossover SUV. After being previewed at the 2024 Manila International Auto Show, it will hit the Philippine market in June 2024.
