The negative price adjustments follow two consecutive weeks of price increases on fuel, caused by increased global demand that prompted a corresponding adjustment on crude oil costs.
There were indications of a downward trend in fuel prices as early as Thursday, September 1. This was according to Philippine Petroleum Companies Association founding chairman Fernando Martinez.
