Under the hood is a 700-horsepower V8.

Hennessey announces full production for the ‘VelociRaptoR 6x6’ supertruck. The Texas-based hypercar manufacturer and tuner works on pushing American cars to the limit, and this wild 6x6 build is no exception.

The ‘VelociRaptoR 6x6’ is based on the Ford F-150 Raptor R, the most extreme version of the full-size pickup truck. The F-150 nameplate is also offered in the Philippines but in the Lariat variant only.

Hennessey installed loads of upgrades to the build that improve its off-road capability, including 6x6 locking rear axles, Fox live valve dampers, and a three-inch lift. A set of custom 20-inch wheels is used for the 6x6 layout, which is wrapped in 37-inch off-road tires.

The tuner also fitted non-mechanical upgrades such as new front and rear bumpers, LED off-road lights, and Hennessey VelociRaptoR badging. There is also a longer bed measuring 2,438mm, a 45 percent increase in size compared to the stock bed.

The tractive grip is improved by more than 50 percent

As an F-150 Raptor R-based truck, the 6x6 uses a 5.2-liter supercharged V8 – the same one found in the Mustang Shelby. The power unit may not receive revisions but it still packs 700 horsepower and 868 Nm of torque. It should be coupled to a 10-speed automatic transmission.

“The F-150 Raptor R is competent right from the factory, but our 6X6 upgrade improves it dramatically. It gains significantly more traction thanks to 50 percent more driven wheels. The 8-foot bed adds a truck-load of increased utility, and the combination of three axles, a body lift, and a roaring V8 delivers unmatched stage presence,” said Hennessey Founder and CEO John Hennessey.

Again, the Hennessey is located in the US so long paperwork awaits if you decide to bring it to the Philippines. While no pricing was disclosed, the ‘VelociRaptoR 6x6’ is available for international shipping. But if a stock bone F-150 from a local showroom would suffice, Ford Philippines offers the F-150 Lariat for Php 3,398,000.
