Automakers are rolling out various programs to aid the car ownership experience of their customers. As for the guys at Ford Philippines, they want to provide service-related actions by launching online tracking tools available on the company’s official website.
Ford Philippines allows customers to track their vehicles for service-related actions
With the online tracking tool, owners can check whether their Fords need to be serviced in the comfort of their homes. All they need to do is to type their vehicle’s 17-digit Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) which can be seen on the passenger side, particularly in between the windscreen and dashboard.
“The safety of our customers and their vehicles remains our top priority. With our online tracking tools, we’re able to provide our customers easy and convenient access to service actions required for their vehicles to ensure their optimal performance,” said Ford Customer Service Division Director Patrick Manigbas.
One function of the online tracking tool is that it can show the units covered in the Blue Oval company’s recent recall due to a faulty Takata airbag issue. It covers Everest units between 2006 and 2014 model years, Ranger units from 2004 to 2011, and Mustang units from 2005 and 2014. If the issue is not resolved, the airbags could deploy intensely which can injure or even kill passengers.
Take note, affected Ford units will be serviced free of charge. Ford Philippines is also notifying customers with vehicles affected by the Takata airbag issue. For more information, they can contact Ford Group Philippines Customer Relations Center (CRC) at the telephone number (02) 8866 9408 or 1-800-10736-3676.
Field Service Action Tracker
The Field Service Action Tracker is also up and running. It is an online tool that provides a list of service actions that need to be performed. Like the online tool above, customers need to input their vehicles’ VIN. With this, the conditions of Ford vehicles can stay in tip-top shape, assuring drivers the confidence to drive even on long road trips this summer.
“We have created separate tracking tools to ensure that our customers know what to access to know the status of their Ford vehicles,” added Manigbas.
