Diesel vehicle users have more reasons to be happy this week, with further price reductions on their fuel of choice by Tuesday, August 2.
The downward trend in diesel prices continues
On its Facebook page, fuel price watchdog PH Fuel Watch announced that diesel prices will be slashed by between Php 0.50 and Php 0.75 per liter. Meanwhile, gasoline will cost between Php 0.70 and Php 1.00 higher per liter. The actual prices will vary depending on the gas station as well as location.
A separate advisory by Unioil on its social media channels had a similar message. The fuel company estimated diesel prices to go down by Php 0.60 to Php 0.70 per liter. For gasoline, the expected increase ranges from Php 0.60 to Php 0.80 per liter. Fuel discounts are offered to customers using specific membership and credit cards.

For Cleanfuel, price adjustments for Tuesday have been pegged at a Php 0.60 per liter reduction for diesel, while gasoline prices will climb by Php 0.75 per liter. These price movements will also take effect for Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corporation and Petro Gazz.
Prices for liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) will also go down for the fourth straight month. Petron Corporation will be implementing a Php 2.05 per kilogram markdown by 12 a.m. Tuesday, accompanied by a Php 1.15 per liter reduction on Auto LPG.
Seaoil will be cutting back diesel and kerosene prices by Php 0.60 and Php 0.75 per liter, respectively, while gasoline prices hike by Php 0.75 per liter.
Other oil companies such as Cleanfuel have more specific rates
The most recent data from the Department of Energy (DOE) reflect a year-to-date net increase of Php 18.90 per liter for gasoline, Php 32.95 per liter for diesel, and Php 28.05 per liter for kerosene as of July 26, 2022.
Meanwhile, LPG prices in Metro Manila have been pegged at between Php 836.04 and Php 1,022.60 for every 11-kilogram cylinder as of July 1, 2022.
