This is a huge PR win for the carmaker as this would aid them in their mission to become more recognized internationally. One could also imagine that this brings attention to the brand from a larger global audience.

The Torch Doha, after all, is just a stone’s throw away from the Khalifa International Stadium where the World Cup is taking place. That said, football fans from dozens of countries will have gotten the chance to see Chery’s logo. But if that wasn’t enough, Chery also has ads placed on billboards and LED screens on many of the roads leading to and from the World Cup venue.

Of note, Chery has a growing presence in the Middle Eastern market. In fact, it already has plans to light up city landmarks in Iraq, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, and other Middle Eastern nations. Furthermore, it is also planning to do the same in Mexico.

Here in the Philippines, Chery cars are sold under the United Asia Automotive Group, Inc. (UAAGI). Currently, its lineup consists of the Tiggo 8 Pro midsize crossover, the Tiggo 7 Pro compact crossover, as well as the Tiggo 5x and Tiggo 2 Pro subcompact crossovers.
