The Chery Tiggo 7 Pro Hybrid was unveiled at the 2023 Manila International Auto Show and it further reinforces Chery Auto Philippine’s commitment to electric-powered mobility. Likewise, it also showcases the brand’s 25-year power technology development.

More specifically, the all-new Tiggo 7 Pro Hybrid uses a new system that replaces a traditional model’s alternator with a belt starter generator (BSG). According to Chery, the BSG then recovers the kinetic energy made whenever the driver applies the brakes.
The generated power from the BSG is then stored in a 48-volt battery which is utilized to aid the vehicle’s internal combustion engine. The result of this is an additional output of 10 horsepower and 40 Nm of torque. Chery also designed this system to be intelligent. To be exact, it can adapt to various driving styles to provide better efficiency and performance.
Like the other Tiggo 7 Pro trims, the Tiggo 7 Pro Hybrid features an assertive SUV-like design enhanced by a pair of sharp-looking LED headlamps and a large and intricate grille.

Step inside the Tiggo 7 Pro Hybrid and you’ll be greeted by a spacious interior with ample legroom and elbow room for up to five occupants. On-board safety is then assured thanks to a combination of standard safety systems, and a set of advanced driver-assist safety features.
Apart from the Tiggo 7 Pro Hybrid, Chery Philippines also displayed two new hybrid models at the 2023 MIAS. This includes the Chery Tiggo 5X Pro Hybrid and the seven-seater Tiggo 8 Pro e+ Plug-in Hybrid. Note that the latter was launched earlier this year.
The Tiggo 5X Pro Hybrid features the same intelligent 48-volt BSG system as the Tiggo 7 Pro Hybrid. On top of that, both also get a start-stop system which the brand says will help reduce fuel consumption and emissions.

Specifically, Chery says that the intelligent hybrid system combined with the start-stop feature may be able to provide a 14 percent reduction in carbon dioxide emissions and provide up to 13 percent of savings on fuel consumption.
For now, Chery has yet to reveal the exact pricing details and specs for these two new hybrids. But if you want to see these Chery models in the metal, you can drop by the Chery 2023 MIAS booth at the World Trade Center in Pasay City. The models will be displayed at the booth until April 16, 2023.
