Volvo is the first player in the auto industry to grimly say “No” to diesel. The all-new Volvo S60 2018 will be the first product of the German car manufacturer to be built without a diesel powertrain. Additionally, all of Volvo’s new models debuted from 2019 will be equipped with battery electric vehicle, plug-in petrol hybrid or a mild petrol hybrid. This is considered as the most comprehensive project in the automotive industry and Volvo Cars is proud to be the first traditional car manufacturer which commits to producing full electrification from July 2017.
At Beijing Auto Show 2018 happening last month, Volvo Cars set an aim for making fully electric vehicles to account for 50% of its international sales by 2025, making it become a strong player in the Chinese market - the top market in the world for electrified vehicles.
