The all-new 2022 Suzuki Celerio is set to make its official Philippine debut tomorrow. But Suzuki Philippines has already announced the all-new Celerio’s pricing.
All-new Suzuki Celerio
Available in two variants that can either come with a five-speed manual or an auto gear shift (AGS) transmission, the 2022 Suzuki Celerio comes with a starting price of Php 708,000. The top-spec trim, on the other hand, retails at Php 754,000.
Of note, Suzuki has dropped the continuously variable transmission (CVT) option in favor of the AGS. The AGS is a transmission that is similar to the Dzire sedan. The car brand boasts that the all-new Celerio is a fuel-efficient car. Speaking of which, Suzuki PH claims that the all-new Celerio can achieve a fuel economy of 28.25 km/l. The said fuel efficiency rating is certified by the Automobile Association Philippines (AAP).
Other details about the 2022 Celerio have yet to be revealed by Suzuki PH. But a quick glance at the model that debuted in India, the PH-spec Celerio could most likely be powered by a next-generation 1.0-liter K10C 3-cylinder engine that puts out 66 hp and 89 Nm of torque. The new engine also comes with Dualjet dual fuel injection technology and variable valve timing that also improves thermal management.
The Celerio has grown in size compared to the outgoing model
It’s also worth mentioning that the Celerio has grown in size. It now measures 3,695mm long, 1,655mm wide, and 1,555mm high. The all-new Celerio also has a 2,435mm wheelbase, and a 170mm ground clearance.
The said numbers mean that the new Celerio is 95mm longer, 55mm wider, and 15mm wider. The wheelbase also increased by 10mm while the ground clearance gets an additional 25mm. The increase in dimensions translates to a wider cabin, which gives better legroom to rear passengers.
