Nissan Urvan Premium S 2018 launched in the Philippines

The newly-launched Nissan Urvan Premium S 2018 is built to be more luxurious.

A couple months after the AT version of the Urvan Premium arriving in our shores, Nissan continues to keep car enthusiasts excited by introducing an all-new luxurious version – the Nissan Urvan Premium S 2018 with a number of interesting refinements inside and out.

The Premium S shares a number of similarities with its Premium counterpart

Largely similar to its standard counterpart, the Premium S also measures 5,320 mm x 1,880mm x 2,285 mm (L x H x W) with a wheelbase of 2,940 mm. Under the hood, the new model is powered by the same 2.5L turbodiesel found in the Premium model which is capable of producing 129 hp and 356 Nm of torque, mated to a 5-speed automatic transmission driving the rear wheels.

The van also receives updates on the outside, which includes the signature V-Motion grille, a new bumper, a set of 15-inch alloy wheels and some tweaks here and there.

The Nissan Urvan Premium 2018 is a spacious road trip machine

While the exterior changes are subtle, the redesigned cabin of the Nissan Urvan Premium S 2018 is a different story. While all seats now come adorned with leather upholstery, the ceiling also gets revised with light and compartment which comprise of dual overhead cabinets and airline-style orange LED mood lamps.

However, the biggest update lies in its newly-reconfigured interior. In particular, in lieu of 12 reclining seats normally found in rear cabin of a popular people carrier, the inside of this van was redesigned to seat 8 which excludes the front passenger and the driver. Worth mentioning is that four seats at the front row are able to be rotated to face backwards in captain's-style.

When it comes to infotainment system, the luxurious van is now equipped with a number of interesting features so as to improve driving comfort for both driver and passengers. In detail, the package offered for the Urvan Premium S is comprised of:

  • A Pioneer 2-DIN head unit with USB, 4 speakers, Bluetooth connectivity and navigation;
  • 7-inch touchscreen;
  • Blaupunkt dual 10.1 inch headrest monitors;
  • Blaupunkt rear-view camera;
  • Blaupunkt dashcam with reverse sensors.

Offered as a dealer option, the Nissan Urvan Premium S 2018 costs an addition from P400,000 to P450,000 to the sticker price of the standard Premium. This price range is varied depending on the preferences of customers. If you would like to avail of it, you will be required to order the vehicle first before asking for the package. According to Nissan, it will take only one day for the Premium S conversion.
