The Toyota TFender is a modified version of the ProBox by ESB designed to look like the Land Rover Defender. From looking like an entry-level station wagon to a rugged off-roader, the TFender sports a flair that aims to attract buyers at the upcoming Tokyo Auto Salon.

At the front, the unmistakable Defender fascia is built on the TFender with the addition of a new front bumper and headlights. Like the Defender, the Toyota station wagon features a “TFENDER” lettering on the hood.

Once we turn to the sides, we start to see the TFender’s station wagon nature. To make it more like an off-roader, the TFender comes with a suspension lift that increases the ground clearance by 30 or 40 mm. A set of aftermarket white wheels wrapped in off-road tires is also part of the side profile.

Moreover, the rear end received some revision. Inspired by the Defender, the new taillights paired with a more rugged-looking rear bumper give the TFender its off-roader appearance. It also houses the Toyota logo, along with the TFender badge on the lower left part.

The Toyota TFender will be made exclusively in the Japanese market. Reservations will start at the opening of the 2023 Tokyo Auto Salon on January 13. But in case you’re still interested to find out the cost of building one, here is the list of prices of the TFender modification kits in Japan:
