Now that the one-off will be sent to the winning bidder, the team couldn’t be more proud. The team included Bonnie Hunt, which is the actress who voiced Sally Carrera in the Pixar movie Cars. It also includes Creative Director of Franchise at Pixar Animation Studios Jay Ward, and Production Designer for Cars Bob Pauley. They were joined by key members of the brand including Porsche Cars North America, Inc. (PCNA) President and CEO Kjell Gruner.

“This generous act has made a difference for two important charities and to the lives of those they’ll help. In return, I hope the bidder is very happy to have secured a special and unique piece of our and Pixar’s history,” said Gruner.

The Php 202-million proceeds will benefit two charities namely Girls Inc. and USA for UNHCR. Aiming to inspire girls to be strong, smart, and bold, Girls Inc. has a network of 76 local organizations across the United States and Canada. This organization reflects the character of Sally Carerra who is always eager to lead and help those in need.

Meanwhile, the USA for UNHCR is a non-profit organization that is working to provide urgent help to nearly 6.2 million refugees who were affected by the Ukraine invasion. The proceeds will surely provide the assistance the refugees might need, especially considering that some of them are children who were separated from their parents.

“We’d like to congratulate the new owner on their purchase and thank them for the contribution they’ve made to Girls Inc. and USA for UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency,” said RM Sotheby's Global Head of Auctions Gord Duff.

As the name suggests, the Porsche 911 Sally Special is based on the German automaker’s iconic 911 sports car, particularly the latest 992 generation. Sally might originally be a Type 996 but the design team added details to make the vehicle more like her such as the “Sallybluemetallic” paint, 5-spoke wheels, and the “little pinstriping tattoo” Lightning McQueen spied.
