It is scheduled to be completed on September 2023.

According to Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Senior Undersecretary Emil K. Sadain, the Pampanga Delta Bridge Project located at Masantol, Pampanga is now 88 percent complete. This is despite the delays and interference that was brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic.

This project requires specialized equipment like a floating crane

Upon completion of the Pampanga Delta Bridge, travel between Macabebe and Masantol will be made faster. This is crucial for the economic growth of the said region since these areas are Pampanga's aquaculture center. In particular, food production by way of fishponds growing milkfish (bangus), crabs, shrimps, and tilapia are concentrated in this area.

The municipalities of Calumpit, Hagonoy, as well as Malolos City in Bulacan might also see some measure of economic growth thanks to this project.

In its entirety, this bridge project costs around Php 566 million. It spans 270-meters, and it consists of a concrete deck which in turn is made out of five spans of steel box girders. Those meanwhile, are supported by four piers, as well as two abutments. The said abutments are then supported by two 1.50 diameter bored piles.

Building the bridge project also required specialized equipment. For instance, a floating crane was also deployed in order to launch one segment of the bridge’s girder. This was witnessed by Sadain himself during his inspection of the said project.

Spearheading this project is the DPWH Unified Project Management Office – Bridges Management Cluster. Further support is also lent to the DPWH by the Eddmari Construction & Trading in a joint venture partnership with J.H. Pajara Construction Company.
