This business alliance makes car buying easier for mariners.

The Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC) announced that it has formed a business partnership together with the Nippon Yusen Kabushiki Kaisha-owned (NYK) financial institution MarCoPay Inc.

Thanks to this, seafarers will have an easier time getting the Mitsubishi of their dreams

Under the said partnership, MarCoPay’s mobile app will promote Mitsubishi vehicles and products to Filipino seafarers starting on July 31.

MarCoPay says that seafarers earn well above the average income in their home countries. This means that the said demographic is more than capable of purchasing a brand-new vehicle of their choice.

The only issue is, their jobs require them to stay aboard vessels for months at a time. As such, they will need help in getting loan approval from banks for buying vehicles - a service that the finance company provides.

So via the partnership, seafarers will now have an easier time buying MMPC’s lineup of cars ranging from the compact but practical Mirage G4, the family-friendly Xpander and Xpander Cross, the Strada pickup truck, as well as the large and in-charge Montero Sport SUV.

To be more exact, MMPC will get a special page within the MarCoPay App. There, users will be able to browse the brand’s cars and look and their specs and respective prices. They will also be able to apply for car loans for Mitsubishi products via this special app page.

Via the partnership, the MarCoPay app will feature a special page dedicated to Mitsubishi

Seafarers who will purchase a Mitsubishi while using the finance app will also get access to exclusive promotions and services. In the future, these advantages provided by the partnership will be further developed to feature a pre-approval system for car loans making the act of acquiring a brand-new car even easier.

MarCoPay meanwhile, will also set out to advertise Mitsubishi via its app. This is besides the special app page as these will also be presented on external advertising media used by the finance company. Furthermore, MarCoPay will also promote its partnership with MMPC during seafarer organization’s meetings.
