Mitsubishi Philippines shared during a press conference that it plans to introduce the XForce crossover in June 2024. This is a significant move from MMPC as it will now have a proper challenger in the tightly contested five-seater subcompact crossover segment, which includes the likes of the Toyota Raize, Toyota Yaris Cross, and Hyundai Creta, among others.

The Mitsubishi XForce first debuted during the 30th Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show last August 2023 as the production version of the XFC concept. Since its launch, Mitsubishi said that the demand for the XForce has been high in Indonesia where the said vehicle is produced and manufactured.

The pricing and variants for the PH-bound XForce have yet to be shared by MMPC. But, the car brand noted that the XForce’s sticker price will be “affordable.” MMPC has also yet to reveal the full specs of the upcoming XForce five-seater subcompact crossover.

As a reference, the Indo-spec Mitsubishi XForce is powered by a 1.5-liter MIVEC gasoline engine that delivers 104 horsepower and 141 Nm of torque. The engine sends power exclusively to the front wheels via a continuously variable transmission (CVT). Of note, the top-of-the-line XForce variant in Indonesia is offered with four drive modes: Normal, Wet, Gravel, and Mud.

The Mitsubishi XForce comes with a modern yet assertive exterior, which is highlighted by its front lighting system. It also has a large mesh grille as well as a beefy front bumper, which gives the vehicle a bold stance. In Indonesia, Mitsubishi’s challenger in the subcompact crossover segment is fitted with LED headlights, LED daytime running lights, and LED fog lights.

It has a ground clearance of 222mm along with a set of two-tone 18-inch alloy wheels. The XForce comes with disc brakes on all four wheels, and the top-spec trim has a power tailgate with a kick sensor.

The rear is equally striking as the Xforce’s front design. It is equipped with distinctive taillights, a spoiler, and a bulky bumper.

Inside, the instrument panel where the eight-inch digital driver display is mounted has been designed based on the Horizontal Axis concept. The XForce has drink holders that can accommodate 21 plastic bottles (600 mL), a console box with a drink cooler, Type-A and Type-C ports, mélange fabric padding for the instrument panel, and 40:20:40 split rear seats.

The Mitsubishi XForce sold in Indonesia is loaded with standard safety features such as front and side airbags, hill start assist, stability control, blind spot warning, cruise control, active yaw control, and anti-lock braking system with electronic brakeforce distribution, among many others.
