Recently, Mazda’s official distributor in the Philippines - Bermaz Auto Philippines has made an announcement that the heated-up Mazda MX-5 2018 will receive minor updates including new price tags, fresh color options and additional safety features. It is worth noting that there is a new version jumping into the local market.
Specifically, the Mazda MX-5 2018 is now offered with a 6-speed manual gearbox version with a 1,103kg curb weight - 30kg lighter than the AT version. It has the same output as the AT version with 160 PS and 200 Nm of torque. The new version also gets standard black leather and can be had at P2,200k.

A new color option dubbed Soul Red Crystal is now offered in select soft-top version (Skyactiv AT and MT) and all RF versions
Additionally, the convertible Mazda MX-5 AT version comes available with a new color option - Machine Gray and an upgraded power steering system. Meanwhile, the rear suspension of all versions is also improved.
A new color option dubbed Soul Red Crystal is now offered in soft-top Mazda MX-5 Skyactiv AT and MT and all MX-5 RF models. These variants, except for the Skyactiv MT are now adorned with a new lane-departure alert and adaptive LED headlights.
