That front end is unmistakable.

Hyundai Motor Philippines (HMPH) has released a teaser for the upcoming Stargazer MPV. This could entail that HMPH is gearing up for the Stargazer’s local launch.

The short video teaser also shows the Stargazer's rear section

The teaser shows a striking-looking front fascia of a vehicle, along with the caption which reads - “A new star will shine soon.” The vehicle on the teaser post also shares exactly the same design as the Stargazer sold in Indonesia. It likewise bears a full-width light bar, as well as a pair of corner-mounted headlamp clusters flanking the grille.

Moreover, it seems that HMPH is not coy in sharing that it will indeed be launching the Stargazer soon. A quick glance at the teaser photo and you can easily read out the word Stargazer that’s placed on the plate.

Other than being clear that it is indeed the Stargazer MPV, the teaser didn’t show an exact date or a schedule of when the launch is happening.

Do remember though that when HMPH confirmed that the Stargazer is coming, they did say that it is arriving in November 2022. This was announced back during the formal debut of HMPH’s lineup.

Being a teaser, the upcoming Stargazer’s specifications and features likewise remain a mystery. But if we considered the current version that is sold in Indonesia, we do know that it uses a 1.5-liter gasoline four-banger that can make up to 113 horsepower and 144 Nm of torque.

It also uses Hyundai’s Intelligent Variable Transmission, which is the Korean automaker’s version of the Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT). There’s also a six-speed manual version offered in Indonesia.

In the same market, the Stargazer also comes in a six-seater or seven-seater version. It also gets an eight-inch touchscreen, and wireless smartphone charging.

For now, we aren’t sure just yet whether or not we’ll get these very same features on the Philippine-spec Stargazer. We also have no clue with regards to its pricing.

With the appearance of the teaser though, it can be surmised that the launch is happening soon. So until then, keep it here on Philkotse
