DPWH opens Laguna Lake Highway’s 2-lane segment in Taguig

The project is expected to reduce travel time between Taytay, Rizal and Bicutan, Taguig from 1 hour to just 30 minutes.
What has been on the news is that the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) recently completed the construction of the 3.2-km Laguna Lake Highway in Taguig City.
 
The opening to motoring public of the additional lanes located at the eastbound of Laguna Lake Highway is expected to reduce travel time between Taytay, Rizal and Bicutan, Taguig from 1 hour to just 30 minutes.

The Department of Public Works and Highways recently completed the construction of the 3.2-km Laguna Lake Highway in Taguig City
 
Mark Villar, DPWH Secretary as quoted as saying: “This newly opened highway is part of a road network that we are building to ease congestion in this particular area and provide a barrier that would prevent back flow of water coming from the Laguna de Bay going to industrial and residential areas in Metro Manila.”

Opening of Laguna Lake Highway will help decongest traffic in EDSA – Sec. Villar
 
The 3.2-km additional 2-lane road from Napindan to M.L. Quezon Avenue was built under Phase I and Phase II of the Laguna Lake Highway Project costing PhP 512 million. It is comprised of improved paved roads, the construction of two-meter wide planting strips, 3-meter bike lane, and 1.5-meter sidewalk.
