No need to make a U-turn at the E. Rodriguez Avenue junction.

The Manila-Cavite Expressway (CAVITEX) C5 Link Flyover extension has been doing wonders for motorists, especially for those who are residing in the South. Now, the toll road company announced that it has further improved the network of the expressway with the opening of the new Merville exit ramp.

The Merville Exit on CAVITEX C5 Link is now open

It was in August this year when the C5 Link Flyover extension was opened to the motoring public, providing better access to and from Pasay, Parañaque, and Taguig. The new Merville exit ramp can be used by traversing motorists from Taguig City, which is the first exit ramp in the westbound drive going to Parañaque City.

With the new exit ramp, motorists who plan to go to Merville don’t have to make a U-turn at the E. Rodriguez Avenue junction anymore. It used to be a long detour while the toll road company was completing the Merville exit ramp.

Based on the toll rate matrix in CAVITEX and Toll Regulatory Board’s (TRB) websites, the fees are as follows: Class 1 – Php 22, Class 2 – Php 44, and Class 3 – Php 66. But in our latest report, the provisional toll rates approved by the TRB are increased to Php 37 for Class 1, Php 74 for Class 2, and Php 112 for Class 3.

For those who are planning to get from Merville to Taguig, Class 1 vehicles may enter the expressway via an entry point in front of the Shell C5 Southlink. Meanwhile, Class 2 and 3 vehicles may pass through the C5 Road extension, then make a U-turn at the slot in Kaingin road.

The expressway aims to reduce the travel time from CAVITEX to Makati, Taguig, and Pasay to 30 to 45 minutes. Since it falls under the management of Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation (MPTC), motorists who wish to traverse the expressway should get an Easytrip RFID.
